Finally, I was getting worried. Knowing how Republican leaders like Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, John Boehner, et cetera, love the Constitution and love defending it, you knew that eventually they would stand up for the First Amendment and denounce the planned Koran burning in Florida.
I found over 4,300 articles via Google News on this issue, and there are more than that, including my post from yesterday, but it was the Republicans standing up for freedom of religion that really caught my eye.
Here's the maverick John McCain expressing his anger.

Here's Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney supporting General Petraeus and saying no more hatred and bigotry.

The RNC is reaching out to its members demanding they help stop the hate. Here's just one part of the email they sent.

Sarah Palin, the Queen of Twitter, chimed in with 140 characters of disgust. I enclose the entire message here.

Republicans sure could talk about the community center in New York and get all outraged about that. But in the 4,300 articles, I don't see any Republican leaders saying "don't burn the Koran" and that my friends, is pretty damm scary.
UPDATE: I missed Olberman last night. But just got emailed that he is on this issue as well, here's the link to Ben's piece again at Think Progress that I just found after I posted this.
