Us Texans have to see a lot of crap on the side of the rode. While eager right-wingers buying out billboards to repeat what they heard on Fox News is a national phenomenon, it seems Texas has more than most states.
I saw this anti-Obama billboard just south of Waco on my drive home last night. Do you think the person behind this is part of the 31% of republicans that think Obama is a muslim? From the"in depth" article about the billboard.
"I thought it was pretty funny. I don't like Obama anyway so I thought it was pretty funny,"
Some more Texas billboards below
This gem is in Marshall, Texas. From the article about the man who paid for it
"what can I do," he said. "I have health reasons that I can't get out and go to tea parties, and it came to me, put up a billboard."-Ellis Miller
Mr. Ellis Miller, a retired doctor, is also responsible for this Billboard comparing Obama to Castro in Gladewater, Texas. My favorite comment from the "in depth report" about the billboard
Main stream media is suppressing the complete legible photo of this billboard.
Someone subsequently tried toset it on fire
No one was injured, although investigators are concerned about what might have happened if it had gotten out of control. Miller does not want his message to spark violence.
I would like to point out that someone tried to burn down the double billboard. Maybe someone was more angry at Verizon than Obama...
A unique version of these billboards uses Jimmy Carter to remind us how evil Obama is. NPR story about the billboard here. This is of course a riff on the Minnesota Bush Miss Me Yet? Billboard.
Speaking of missing Bush. Here is another billboard that appeared north of Waco earlier this year.
Please let me know if I missed any Texas billboards.
