My Internet connection through Virgin Mobile's so-called Broadband2Go "service" broke down again. It is working now but I am majorly irritated. My every effort to contact Virgin Mobile has ended in frustration.
There seems to be no way to reach these people besides posting a diary on a public site such as Daily Kos.
Listen, Virgin Mobile. You promised me 30 days of Internet connection in return for 40 bucks. I paid you the 40 bucks. You owe me 30 days of Internet connection. Those 30 days expire about September 26.
I want the 30 days of Internet connection that I paid you for. I do not want excuses, I want the 30 days of Internet connection that I paid you for. If for any reason you cannot provide these 30 days of Internet connection, I want a damn good reason, and if you cannot give me a damn good reason, I want my 40 bucks back.
That was the deal that you offered. That was the deal that I accepted. That was the deal that we had, and I have kept my end of it, and I expect you to keep your end of the deal as well, or at least tell my why you can't.
I tried to call your so-called customer service number. All I got was a computer and then endless hold music, and a scolding from my upstairs neighbor for my vain efforts to say "I want to speak to a HUMAN BEING!"
I tried the "Contact us" link on your web page. All I got for my trouble, using both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, was a stupid error message. "The specified URL cannot be found", it said. Umm...why not, and whose fault is that?
Attention, Virgin Mobile and all other corporate idiots: THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A LOYAL CUSTOMER.
So here's to you, Virgin Mobile:
If there's anyone here not familiar with the game of association football -- "football" or something similar in most of the world, "soccer" here in the States -- let me explain what that yellow card means. It means, basically, "I'm WARNING you!" It carries no further penalty by itself, but if you get a second yellow card in the same match, you then get a red card. No soccer player ever wants to see a red card.
