This will become a live-blog of the interview, once it begins.
Just one day after the nail-biting primaries (most of the "nail-biting" coming from the other side) MSNBC's Rachel Maddow announced a huge "Get"---
an interview with the Vice President of The United States, Joe Biden!
Huffington Post reports that Rachel Maddow, of MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show will join Vice President Joe Biden---the interview will be broadcasted on tonite's show. The interview was actually conducted inside of the White House.
MSNBC announced that the interview will,
...discuss a wide range of topics with Biden, including the surprise victory of Christine O'Donnell in the Delaware Republican primary for his old Senate seat, the war in Afghanistan and the upcoming midterm elections...
The interview should be especially interesting considering Biden, former Senator of Delaware will discuss the rise of Tea Party Nut Christine O'Donnell---who won last night's Republican Primary for Biden's former seat.
With the schism that is growing in the GOP it will make for some great Political Television watching Maddow and V.P. Biden discussing the Karl Rove vs. Sarah Palin onslaught.
Huffington Post has also noted that the interview will come one week after Maddow criticized V.P. Biden regarding a compliment he gave President Bush on The Colbert Report. Although, I doubt that will make any mention in tonite's interview.
The interview will air tonite, 9 p.m. EST on MSNBC.
Update #1:
Rachel's MSNBC Blog "MaddowBlog" posted some early pics of Maddow---view them right here.
Update #2
Laura Conaway of MaddowBlog writes:
I think I'm allowed to tell you this much ahead of time about Rachel's interview with Vice President Joe Biden.
First, VPOTUS knows how to make news. Mr. Biden made news almost from the top of the interview to the bottom. Executive producer Bill Wolff swam out of his office partway through and said to us, listening in, that he thought it was the best he's ever heard the VP. So there's that.
Second, Joe Biden knows politics.
And third, he's not afraid to say what he thinks about anything. Which explains Bill's response in the first place.
We'll see you at 9 Eastern.
This should be interesting.
Update #3:
Rachel Maddow Tweeted
Vice President Biden on TRMS tonight -- he makes some news on the GOP, Don't Ask Don't Tell, Iraq. #AlsoThereIsMildSwearing.
