Daily Kos has been a REAL downer lately, especially tonight. It's bad enough to listen to Halperin, et al. shout the latest depressing poll numbers AFTER they are released, we have Chris Bowers depressing us with numbers BEFORE they are even released!
Well I am here with a bit of a reason to HOPE!
I've noticed that many of the likely voter polls have huge numbers of undecided voters. While some of these undecideds may not show up at the polls, as they already passed the "likely" screen, we should expect most to vote.
The question is WHO ARE THESE VOTERS? The answers may surprise you.
Let's take a look at a typically depressing poll.
A Politics PA survey that found Toomey Leading Sestak 45%-36% among likely voters.

But let's look inside the numbers.
The poll boasted a large 19% undecided.
Who are these voters?
Well, who they aren't is Republicans. Only 13% of registered Republicans are undecided.
Meanwhile, 23% of Democrats and 30% of independents are undecided. These are just the sort of people who Sestak can sway. In other words, expect this race to get MUCH closer.
Example No. 2
Another terrible poll- Kirk 39%, Giannoulias 36% among likely voters

Once again, same result. While only 10.54% of Republicans were "uncertain" of their choices, 17.67% of Democrats and 19.90% of Independents are undecided. When all these likely voters have made their choices, I expect Giannoulias will come out on top.
In other words, stop being negative! Work hard, have hope and remember-
President Obama's approval rating has been moving up in Gallup (2nd straight day at 47-46)! If the President continues his aggressive, determined efforts, voters will begin to pay attention!
Democratic enthusiasm will improve, and November 2nd will be MUCH better than expected!
