Famously, one year ago Barney Frank asked a constituent, "On what planet do you spend most of your time?"
A redux of this query is in order.
"On what planet do you plan on spending your time once you are done destroying this one?"
Ignore this at your own peril.
Nothing - NOTHING - is more important than having a planet on which to live.
Some of you noticed Fish's diary last night -
"The Sierra is the heart of the world. It functions the same way as our own heart does – it sustains the organism," he says. "There has been snow melt, landslides and earthquakes. People are damaging the sacred places from where the damage can be restored."
We must listen to the Kogi. Western science supports them.
Not as many of you noticed this comment:
When you are the ones closest to the lifeboats (2+ / 0-)
Why do you want everyone else on the ship to know it's sinking?
Sometimes I think what we see in Republicans is not denialism -it's the band playing on.
Now some of the familiar faces may really believe the hype... but whoever is paying them has access to the same or superior information that we get.
They're not all idiots.
They know the ship is sinking.
And they are closer to the lifeboats than the rest of us.

It is up to us.
It is up to you.
The Reich wing won't help solve this crisis.
This is on us.
Take action; be a leader.
10/10/10 is a day to meet up with others in your community and work toward different climate change solutions. For example, Page mentions that in Pakistan, women will be teaching how to use solar stoves, and sumo wrestlers in Japan will be biking to practice.
Go to 350.org to find events in your area, or organize your own. They even have plenty of ideas to help get you started.
"We want to send a clear message to our politicians: We're getting to work, so what about you?"
Focus on this soon, lest it be abundantly clear that we dithered and howled about trivial shiny objects for far, far too long.
