...or will soon be talking about:
TIME gives the entire back and forth leading up to Linda McMahon's "I have no comment":
McMahon: "It's a bad bill. We need to repeal it and we need to start over again."
Blumenthal: "This bill is a good start."
Blumenthal: "This bill recognizes some fundamental facts. No child in America should be denied health care because they are sick ... No American family should go bankrupt paying for health care."
Blumenthal: "But we need to do better in controlling costs ... we need to eliminate waste and fraud."
Blumenthal: "There is a certain irony in my opponent talking about health care reform, because she denies health insurance to the wrestlers."
McMahon: "You talked about the WWE contractors who don't have health coverage ... Indeed they do."
McMahon: "In the 28 years WWE has been in Connecticut, it has never been investigated or fined in relation to its contractors. And the only time it got investigated was just as this campaign got going."
Blumenthal: "As you well know, my jurisdiction is exclusively civil. The allegations against WWE seem to be criminal in nature. So it's no coincidence that my investigation has not covered them. I have no investigation, have not done an investigation, because allegations about independent contractors are investigated by the Department of Labor and the Department of Revenue Services. And I'd have no knowledge of that investigation. It's being conducted by the state."

When given a chance to respond, Linda McMahon said to a crowd of nervous laughter: I have no comment.
Wow.
Out of all of the moments of this debate I believe this was the one that was most damaging to McMahon. Yes, going back and back and back to her minimum wage gaffe really injured her (vid of her actual remarks here: http://www.youtube.com/... ). Yes, she looked nervous and over her head at several moments during the debate. And yes, her flat performance really didn't live up to the expectations of gotcha moments and showmanship that many of us nutmeggers had going into last night's debate.
But talking herself into a corner where the only response she had left was "no comment"?
Didn't see that one coming at all.
There's a lot of unanswered questions in that exchange, questions that Linda McMahon by rights should answer before the people of Connecticut decide whether she is the best person to represent them.
Hopefully we'll all get some answers - soon.

And...Rob Simmons (R-couldashouldawoulda) is now throwing had thrown Linda McMahon under the underpass that the bus is currently riding atop of:
After all, it was just a few weeks ago that the Hartford Courant revealed that McMahon, like Blumenthal, provided false information about her credentials. Blumenthal's discrepancy made national news, and hers received only brief attention here in Connecticut. But both reveal the same fundamental character flaw.
snip
Linda McMahon claims she doesn't remember anything about the memo she authored that tipped off WWE's steroid dealer to a federal criminal investigation. In reality, it was considered the "smoking gun" that nearly took made Titan Towers into a federal office building and put her husband behind bars. How can she not remember?
Linda McMahon claims she has always put the health and wellness of her performers first, but in reality she has repeatedly cut corners to make millions at the expense of their health and even their lives all while misrepresenting the WWE's efforts or lack thereof.
Mrs. McMahon's claims WWE and Vince McMahon were 'acquitted' or 'totally exonerated' in their criminal prosecution. In reality, on two of three counts, they were not acquitted, and the evidence in the case makes clear a prosecution in a different venue may well have resulted in a guilty verdict.

Wow.
Sorry - thought the above was his recent comments...if by recent you mean within 24 hrs. Simmons said of McMahon's performance last night:
"I think she won," said former U.S. Congressman Rob Simmons, who McMahon defeated in the primary. "She just had to survive. And she did that."

How's that unity thingy goin' for ya, Rob?
