This straight from Senator Jim Demint's mouth as this post from last night shows it appears Mr Demint was speaking at the Greater Freedom Rally at First Baptist North Spartanburg, S.C
He admits he first made these comments in 2004 interview on "Meet the Press." Why these comments haven't been made to bite him in the azz during this election cycle shocks me. I realize we do not have a "decent" democratic Senatorial Candidate this year to make Jim Demint accountable for anything. But this thought pattern needs to be out in the public domain.
With all the travel and endorsements Senator Demint is making this year thru his PAC and the types of people he is endorsing, Christine ODonnell, Jim Miller Tea bagger from Alaska, Rand Paul Tea Bagger from Kentucky and Sharon Angle from Nevada. It's obvious he has future thoughts of higher office in his mind. He is collecting political IOUs across the nation, and I am sure it is not because he wants to be the Senate majority Leader one day.
He has aspirations I am sure, he is one of those Senators that look in the mirror and see's a future President of the United States looking back at him.
With him forget DADT, he wants to keep all gay and lesbian teachers out of the class rooms, he also wants to ban sexually active female teachers, why female teachers only? Why hasn't he added sexually active males to the list of people he doesn't want to teach this nations students? Or is he endorsing sexually active males in the class room?
"Senator DeMint believes that hiring decisions at local schools are a local school board issue, not a federal issue," Wesley M. Denton said. "He was making a point about how the media attacks people for holding a moral opinion.
I am not the media, I am a grandfather who has children in South Carolina schools and I think Senator Demint is going to far to push issues that are irrelevant to classrooms into a public debate. This puts the "family values" issues front and center in an election where this type of pandering isn't necessary, he is not going to lose to Alvin Greene.
I really do not even understand why Senator Demint is wasting any days campaigning in SC for votes, he should be out in Nevada for Angle or in Delaware for the witch, or he can even go to Alaska and campaign for Joe Miller, since Joe burnt his bridges with Todd and Sarah Palin by failing to even make the statement "she would make a good President" on Faux News when asked by Neil Cavuto, from another daily Kos diary it seems that Joe Miller is in deep trouble with the Ice Princess and the First DudeAlaska - Joe Miller's Bad Week Just Got a Lot Worse. by AnnetteK
Me I am just sick of Jim Demint he is worse than Joe "you Lie" Wilson who is my own congressman. If you haven't heard yet I am supporting Rob Miller for Congress in SC02
Bank loans Joe Wilsons son money for campaign
First Community Bank, recipient of over $11.3 million in public money from the $700 billion Wall Street bailout, gave Joe Wilson’s son two campaign loans, for a total of over $330,000 [South Carolina State Ethics Commission].
Wilson received over $43,000 in campaign contributions from First Community Bank. Wilson then voted for the $700 billion Wall Street bailout, from which First Community Bank received over $11.3 million. First Community Bank then loaned Wilson’s son $250,000. Later, First Community Bank gave Wilson’s son another loan, this one totaling $83,484. Altogether, First Community Bank has loaned Wilson’s son $333,484.
“If only the rest of South Carolina could get the same perks as the friends and family of Joe Wilson,” said Patrick Norton, communications director for Marine Corps combat veteran and 2nd Congressional District candidate Rob Miller. “Wilson spends our tax dollars recklessly, but he’ll find anyway possible to help his friends and family get ahead. Whether it’s raising his own pay five times, spending $900 of tax money a month on a luxury car, or arranging a shady loan for his son, Wilson seems to think the rules don’t apply to him.”

Maybe I should run for office and the First Community Bank would loan me 333,484 dollars, now I need to know what kind of car Joe is driving that he pays 900 a month for my car payment is 257, and I am curious to see what a 900 dollar a month car looks like? Are the taxpayers buying it, or just leasing it? Inquiring minds want to know......
