By now, the blogosphere and the TV has been all atwitter (no pun intended) on the Bob Woodward inspired meme that Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton will be trading jobs for 2012. Some pros and cons about that.
- The move, should it happen, reeks of desperation. It makes Obama look weak and passive.
- It could be construed as a slap at Biden who, unlike his boss at times, has been a stalwart in forwarding the progressive's agenda. What would a VP Hillary have for an agenda?
- It will lead us into a spring and summer of Whitewater, Lewinsky, Bill, billing records, Vince Foster and all the negative stories we've heard for years circulating about America's most talked about political power couple, ginned up by the Democratic-hating Beltway Villager crowd. Not that this will be new, as the GOP/Fox/Limbaugh/bloviators crowd, if not consistent, is bereft of ideas and talking points.
- It would probably cause our base to swell, but it would also cause the nutbagger crowd to grow,as there is still a sizeable subsection of this country that still wretches at the mere sight of a Clinton. It might also reactivate the PUMA crowd who still pines for the days of Hillary as POTUS.
- If the Obama-Clinton ticket forms and wins, then Biden is nominated for Sec. of State, which depending on the make-up of the world's most dysfunctional group, the US Senate, a Biden nomination could be held hostage by a Jim Duh Mint type of teabagger coup.
- Depending on any second term, Hillary would be bound by a second Obama term, which may or may not impact her running on her own in 2016. If something happens to Obama, Hillary would make a very formidable POTUS,but leaves her with a record to defend, and by 2016, America may reach "Clinton Lag".
- It would piss off the GOP to no end!!!!
- The more I think about, it might work!!!
