I don't believe in witches, I don't even believe in oracles unless they are from Omaha and their last name starts with B.
According to Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/...
In Classical Antiquity, an oracle was a person or agency considered to be a source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion, predictions or precognition of the future, inspired by the gods. As such it is a form of divination.
The Daily Beast now has an Election Oracle. Being a dyed in the wool Democrat, I liked what their Oracle said. Do I believe the Oracle?
Nah, but I do think it's kind of fun...sort of like reading your horoscope....
So, just for fun, lets see what the Oracle had to say today...

So there you have it...the Oracle has spoken.
Daily Beast gives predictions on individual races too, if you are interested, click on the link above.
I think we can safely say that the Oracle is no threat to Nate Silver.
Enough about Oracles (and witches too!)
Can we take a moment to talk about ghosts?
I'm talking about "ghost candidates."
Smileycreek's diary today talks about another candidate, Wally Herger, who didn't show up for a debate. Smileycreek linked to a Chico ER editorial:
Editorial: Campaigning from the couch

Our view: When politicians don't have to debate before an election, it's not good for democracy.
No, it's not...and we have waaay too many candidates who have gone into hiding. They need to be smoked out. You know who I'm talking about....Angle Palin O'Donnell, Buck, Paul and more...and this is not acceptable. If you are a ghost you don't deserve a vote. Get the Media to start embarrassing these people like Rachel did last night with O'Donnell. Show them for the chicken S****s that they are. Tweet and Facebook to all the media personalities you can think of. Put some pressure on them to use the power they have been given to force these ghosts to speak to us.
Enough CAMPAIGNING FROM THE COUCH! If the Chico ER has the guts to say it's wrong, so should the national media.
