Aren't you glad to see us looking better in the polls in some races?! Yes! GOTV!

Okay, for reasons I will not name this close to election, I, along with numerous others here,  swore off giving to the DCCC etcetera. While others were welcome to support the Party with funds at the  national level, I was determined only to give toProven Progressives.

True Confession: as it turns out,  I have actually given a few small contributions to others that were not really progressives this cycle because I do NOT want a teabagger Republican to win in those districts, and the candidates were  'moderate.' However,  today I find myself breaking my vow and giving a little sugar to the  DCCC.

Why?  Because Nancy Pelosi sent ME (heh) an email with the subject line  "Tattoo."

Nancy rocks. The House got so much done this session compared to the Senate, and she deserves a great deal of the credit.

I loved the front page story about her this week entitled:

Daily Kos: Pelosi:
GOP and corporate cash "Like Doggy-Doo stuck on your shoe"

Too funny, and shows the spine that we all love about our first female Speaker of the House!

Wonder how many of us have been growing angry and frustrated at continually seeing reports of the damage from Citizens United decision, with all that corporate cash flowing secretly and no big push back from our Party.

So a couple of days ago I wrote a diary about the  Chamber of Commerce fail of soliciting foreign funds and centered the diary around the NYTimes Op ED calling out the Chamber and the Republican Party, as well as advocating for government investigations of said illegal fail:

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Accused of Tax Fraud - NYTimes.com

Perhaps you also saw the KO Countdown expose on the Chamber of Commerce funneling huge amounts of comingled corporate/foreign cash into elections without saying where the money comes from?

In my last diary I featured Part I.

Here is part II

Well what are we waiting for Democrats? Even the NY effing Times Editorial Board is saying this is WRONG.

Remember those dark days of the Bush Administration back when he still had high numbers, but Congresswoman Pelosi would bravely stand up and speak out against his failed policies. Woot!

Who else is sickened by Michael Steele   traveling around the country not only calling for her to be fired.  No telling what else that goober is doing with corporate money on that bus.

Nancy Wants YOU to Tattoo!

So I get this email from  Madame Speaker, which I am guessing others have waiting for them as well:

In jujitsu, whenever you get hit, you turn it right back against your opponent. The same is true in politics.

The Republicans are using the final days of this campaign to attack Democrats with the financial resources of Big Banks, Big Oil, and Big Insurance companies, all channeled through secretive outside groups.

We must turn this force right back against them by tattooing the real agenda of these corporate special interests onto every Republican candidate they are supporting.

Time is running short. We need the support of every Democrat committed to stopping a corporate takeover of our elections to raise the $27,896 more we need before tonight's TV ad buy deadline hits.

Please contribute $5, $10 or more to the DCCC's Rapid Response Ad Fund before our Midnight Tonight deadline.  Your support will help Democrats remind voters who is behind these secretive outside group attacks and hold the Republicans fully accountable.

These outside groups have euphemistic names like "Americans for Prosperity," "American Crossroads," and the "American Future Fund." That last one is the most ironic, since their singular goal is to take America right back to the past by bringing back the exact same Republican agenda that drove our economy into a terrible ditch.

We cannot remain silent in the face of these attacks on our courageous House Democrats who have worked so hard to move America forward.

As we have learned from our successful election victories, the only answer for this kind of combat is combat.

Please contribute $5, $10 or more to the DCCC's Rapid Response Ad Fund before our Midnight Tonight deadline. Your support will help Democrats remind voters who is behind these secretive outside group attacks and hold the Republicans fully accountable.

There is no doubt that we will retain our Democratic House Majority as long as we have you in this fight .

We cannot wake up on the day after Election Day with any regrets.

Now THATS Democratic Party action really like to support!  Thanks, Madame Speaker!

We will Tattoo their sorry you know whats, and make it stick like doggie doo!

Wahoo!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
