Fred is the clear winner in this debate.
Huizenga talks about nothing but the same old tired Republican right wing policies, that benefit no one but the rich, and have dumped this country into the toilet.
Now I'm the first to admit that I may not be the smartest banana in the bunch, but it doesn't make sense to continue with tax cuts when we lack revenue, and we're already deficit spending. Those who benefit the most from the tax cuts have already proven they cannot be trusted to use those tax reductions to "create jobs" here in America.
Mr. Johnson is clearly the man who will fight for the middle class. The middle class are the backbone of this country, and it doesn't matter if the jobs "created" are private or public sector jobs, they both generate revenue and relieve social programs.
See "Mind the Income Gap" pin to the top of my blog, http://news.particlesofwords.com/... The proof is in the statistical pudding.
Education. Huizenga claims we have to leave education to the state. Listen, education cannot be funded, at this point, with only state monies, and if we're going to take federal dollars we have to follow federal rules. Period. So, it's disingenuous to say "keep the federal government out of our schools" when we are in need of federal help. The real problem with funding our education programs in this state is Proposal A, something that needs to reworked to benefit all economic levels - not just when the economy is flush.
Huizenga keeps saying he's, "doing this for his 5 kids". Translation: "I have five kids, and I work part-time, so I'm doing this for the fat congressional paycheck. So, public sector jobs are only bad when it's not yours, right Mr. Huizenga?
