The extreme fringe of the "pro-life" movement has sunk to a new low with a video in support of Amendment 62 (the "personhood amendment") on the Colorado ballot. The video is so over-the-top, you have to see it to believe it... (just mark it with a "dislike" if you click to view)

And don't think this is just a Colorado issue.
The Personhood USA movement started in Colorado, but it is targeting states across the country.
While sometimes it pretends otherwise, its sole purpose is to ban abortion in all circumstances (including rape, incest, or risk to the mother). Their method is to redefine a legal "person" as beginning at the moment of conception or fertilization (or the "beginning of biological life"--their latest wording, but with no change in intent). A version of this amendment was defeated by a 3-1 margin in Colorado two years ago, but polling is closer this time, and they plan to keep coming back and back and back again.
Of course, not only would this amendment lead to the banning of all abortion, it would have all kinds of secondary effects, some intended and some not by proponents.
For example, it would ban many forms of birth control, including most methods women can use (probably leading to more abortions, ironically--just dangerous illegal abortions). Morning-after pills would be banned, even for women who had been raped. It would probably end in-vitro fertilization and embryonic stem cell research.
Since fetuses and frozen embryos would now be "persons" with legal rights of inheritance and property ownership, you can just imagine the legal issues that would result. Even population counts would become problematic.
More seriously, women's health care would be curtailed. Pregnant women could be denied needed medical treatment for conditions such as cancer, and women who have a miscarriage could be investigated for manslaughter if they did anything "risky" during pregnancy.
Deceptively, the personhood folks claim to be "science-based" even though it's a highly religiously-based movement. What it does do is drain all meaning out of being a person and make it a matter of DNA alone, diminishing the personhood of women in the process.
With extreme and hateful propaganda such as what is included in this video, this movement is also increasing the danger of violence by the fringe that listens to them.
Beware the "personhood" movement coming to your state, and support the No on 62 campaign in Colorado!
