I’m Carrie Lucking, the Communications Director for Tarryl Clark’s Campaign for Congress in Minnesota.
You may recall that just a few weeks ago, Michele Bachmann's so-called "Jim the Election Guy" was pulled from the airwaves and - we thought - gone forever.
Well, just in time for Halloween, Bachmann has brought "Fake Jim" back from the dead so he can tell more lies and scare 6th District voters into voting for Michele Bachmann. The good news is that we've created what may be our best video yet, called "Night of the Living Jims," featuring our Real Jims from the 6th District.
Check it out now!
In an amazing twist of irony, Michele Bachmann is now running negative ads on TV and radio attacking Tarryl Clark for - wait for it - running a negative campaign. This despite the fact that Bachmann herself has spent over $2 million on her over-the-top negative campaign. In fact, this latest ad featuring Fake Jim is her NINTH misleading attack ad.
We recently launched a fact-checking section of our website to make sure that voters know the truth about Tarryl's record of accomplishment, but combating Bachmann's attacks isn't cheap. We intend to maintain a strong presence online, on the ground and over the airwaves in the next two weeks to make sure voters have the facts they need to make an informed decision.
We know that no matter what the undead "Fake Jim" throws at us, we can work together to fight back. As the St. Cloud Times said when they endorsed Tarryl on Sunday, "Sadly, after four years in office, Michele Bachmann has proved with unabashed consistency that serving 6th District constituents is essentially her last priority."
