Hello Kossacks---
With the 2010 midterm election around the corner (Vote People, Vote!). For many of us political junkies---That inner excitement/jumpiness that we haven't felt in a couple of years is back. Most of us are phone-banking, knocking on doors and donating (AND ALL OF US WILL VOTE).
As a 17 y/o Politco, this election cycle has been...well...interesting. If you turn on the Meet The Press for longer than five minuts, you will be informed by the over-zealous David Gregory that Republicans will pickup every single seat up for contention. Maybe I'm still new and ignorant to this----but I don't think so. We might not like election night results, but I really don't see how Americans can vote for people like Ken Buck, Sharon Angle and Christine O'Donnell.
Anyways, lemmme get to the point....
Yesterday I found out that Bill Clinton will be in Chicago Rallying Dem candidates in IL, 45 minutes from where I live. I checked it out and was excited to learn it will be open to the public, just fill out some quick information and print out your ticket. Now, the event will be on Tuesday (PLEASE don't tell my anatomy teacher)---so after convincing my parents on letting my go, and talking to my sister for a ride to the Hotel...I have it all planned out and am VERY excited to be going.
NOW I NEED HELP!
The event begins at 9:30am...and doors are open to the public. What time should I arrive to make sure I can get (really) good seats. Any tips on these kinds of Rallies...what to bring...etc...
Tips and suggestions would really help right now.
Thanks so much!
