Mr. Berstein,
Thank ou for encouraging your students to become politically active. You're shaping the next generation of leaders.
Christine O'Donnell
Okay, so she spelled my name wrong, for which my student apologizes.
My student. She is 16. She lives in Maryland. She and her family are quite conservative, religiously and politically. She went up to Delaware over the weekend to volunteer with the campaign and meet the candidate. She got her picture taken. She told O'Donnell I encourage all my students to be politically active as owners of this nation. She was, and I got a handwritten thank you note.
I am proud of my young lady. O'Donnell also demonstrated graciousness in writing the note.
It was the high point of the day, one which I shared with my other classes. We should all be active for those whose ideas and goals we support. It is one way we fully participate as citizens.
Peace,
