Yes. The beauty of politics is that once you get the responsibility to govern you just can't hide and act like you don't have anything to do.
This in fact might be the scariest thing for the GOP, they have inherently set themselves up for failure, but I am not hoping they fail, I hope they succeed.
Why you ask? Well, for the good of America I hope republicans succeed at REPEALING healthcare, REPEALING financial reform, PRIVATIZING Social Security and rolling back basic protections must people have taken for granted since they were born, like the 14th Amendment (if you forgot your copy of the US Constitution @ home like Christine O'Donnell that is the one that actually makes you a citizen).
I am an optimist I really think Americans just don't know what they are buying into (sadly they forgot about those disastrous 8 years) and they won't till after the republicans fully come into power in the next Congress.
What should democrats do, well there are lots of things they can do, they can pass immigration reform legislation and a climate change bill during the lame duck session of Congress, that should be EZ, seriously no more excuses.
They can bring back the public option and REALLY put republicans on the defensive by pounding JOBS bill after JOBS bill to keep putting republicans on the spot.
Yes, the house is long gone, it's November 3rd. But this is the day the FUN starts for us and ALL HELL breaks loose for the other side.
I'm not taking a vacation from politics, it's in my blood, but I will just be setting my alarm 15 minutes later than usual, other than that not much changes.
Those on the other side might wanna set theirs 150 minutes earlier, their days will now be longer and more demanding, I hope they can handle the weather, it will be mostly cloudy most of the time.
It's November 3rd, don't despair, Rome wasn't built in one day and it only took Boehner... I mean Nero to burn it down, like the Chilean miners on the Phoenix capsule, we will once again rise from the bowels of the earth to save the world from all the destruction that is coming under the "New Management" banner...
... We lost a battle but the war still goes on, the war of right vs wrong not right vs left. And that one we will win.
Once again I'm an optimist and I HOPE THEY SUCCEED !
