Twitter tells me:
Jon covers both parties' closing arguments and Jason Jones profiles a gay college student-fearing state attorney general tonight. 11pm/10c.
Tonight: The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis (@galifianakisz) talks about his new movie, "Due Date." 11pm/10c.
Zach Galifianakis is a Comedy Central/FunnyOrDie comedian who's made a bunch of movies I've never heard of. He's also the guy who's been making headlines such as Can Zach Galifianakis Go to Jail for Smoking Joint on TV? (it was on Bill Maher last week, and the publicist says "It was not an actual joint. It was a prop." MmHmm.
He's here promoting Due Date, which opens Friday. That's so far away in media-land that RottenTomatoes only has three reviews up yet (fresh:1, rotten:2). The official (duedatemovie.warnerbros.com) synopsis:
From director Todd Phillips, "Due Date" stars Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis as two unlikely companions who are thrown together on a road trip that turns out to be as life-changing as it is outrageous. Downey plays Peter Highman, an expectant first-time father whose wife’s due date is a mere five days away. As Peter hurries to catch a flight home from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay (Galifianakis) forces Peter to hitch a ride with Ethan—on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will ultimately destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter’s last nerve.
The trailers/clips out there are apparently kinda, well, eh:
It’s not exactly Planes, Trains, and Automobiles but unless someone’s figured out a way to reanimate the corpse of John Candy it’ll have to do.
And I'm not quite sure that I needed to know that"Zach Galifianakis Discusses Self-Pleasuring Scene In 'Due Date'". But I bet some target-market other than mine will appreciate all this. And it's a bit of fluff before the election-night-and-day-after craziness starts.
