Well that didn't last long. Remember after Obama's election when whites in Southern states like Texas argued that because a black man had been elected president that voter equality laws were no longer necessary? So, as many are aware, David Horowitz has evidently riled up white Tea Partiers in Houston with racially stereotyped videos of black activists and voters, and then sent them off to the polls to harass black and latino voters, and evidently that's exactly what they've done. Fortunately, there are now people at the DOJ who aren't going to play along like the Bush admin did.
The U.S. Department of Justice had just announced it would send down federal personnel to watch election day proceedings in Harris County. The attention has largely been on poll watchers trained by Tea Party group the King Street Patriots, who started an effort called True the Vote.

The Justice Department's focus on preventing racial discrimination will be new...
Of course any questions about whether the King Street Patriots are led by a racist are quickly put to rest:
King Street Patriots leader Catherine Engelbrecht even went as far to as to accuse the group of being the headquarters of the New Black Panther Party.
And of course she works for Breitbart, the king of online white supremacist activism.
