I was quite the promiscuous caller this election season. I targeted a number of toss-up races. Unfortunately, in most cases last night, the only thing I wanted to toss-up was my cookies.
See my track record below.
Senate
Won
Harry Reid (NV)
Too Close To Call
Michael Bennet (CO)
Lost
Jack Conway (KY)
Russ Feingold (WI)
Congress
Won
Raul Grijalva (AZ-7)
Lost
Michael Arcuri (NY-24)
Ann Kuster (NH-2)
Julie Lassa (WI-7)
By far the worst dialer I used was hubdialer. In between the calls, it displays this animation that appears to be trying to hypnotize you, while the same noodly electronic music plays until it gets stuck in your head.
Democracy for America's was better. But it tends to bring up callers before you've even gotten through all the instructions. Also, there doesn't appear to be a pause button.
VoteBuilder probably gave me the most control. But dialing a series of answering machines gets old after awhile.
In local news, both my MN house and senate reps lost. MN-2 congress candidate never had a chance, and MN is hanging by a thread.
I'm going back to bed for a week.
