Why hasn't the Attorney General under the Obama Administration appointed a Special Counsel to investigate possible criminal behavior in the so-called "Foreclosure-Gate" allegations? Could it be that the Obama Administration and/or the DOJ have ulterior or self-serving motives or incentives to sweep this matter under the proverbial rug?
Following the adage "Sunlight is the best disinfectant", shouldn't US Citizens be allowed to know just how far any corruption of the US mortgage industry has affected the US economy as a whole?
If President Obama wants to regain the popularity necessary to pass needed reforms and legislature to get the economy moving again, this would be the single biggest step he could take in that direction. Poll after poll shows this to be an overwhelmingly popular course of action.
Though there are any number of qualified attorneys available for this task, none seem to have the unique experience of William K. Black (remember the S&L fraud prosecutions).
