So -- um.
Given that the jobs issue is overwhelming the biggest concern of Americans ...
Why did we end up with a deficit commission designed to protect the interests of the wealthy and no jobs commission to look after the interests of the average working family?
Why was no commission of statesmen, politicians and academics convened to make suggestions to Congress about how to improve the employment prospects of millions of struggling Americans?
I mean ...
Come on.
Erskine Bowles has raked in millions of dollars since 2005 as a board member of a Wall St. investment bank. Of course this commission is all about protecting members of his class.
But where is our commission -- where is that gold-plated body that is going to make recommendations about what is good for the bottom 98% of the population.
It is no wonder that so many people feel abandoned by government.
Toss us a bone.
Something -- anything.
