Michael Vick went to prison and served his time. He is back in society, doing what he loves best -- playing football. And tonight, he played.
He played in the rain flawlessly. I am not a sports person, but I believe in rehabilitation.
Thanks to the agile Vick, the Eagles beat the Washington Redskins 59 to 28. I could care less about football, but watching Vick tonight was a pleasure.
I am glad he got a second chance. Eighteen months ago, he was in federal prison, and by all accounts, his career was over. Who was going to take a chance on him? Thankfully, the folks in Philadelphia did. Ironically, McNaab, was instrumental in getting Vick to Philly. Tonight he beat McNaab, but surely it seemed McNaab was truly happy for this young man.
When he came back into society, Vick did not play the victim, he came out, was humble and tonight, he used those strengths to reach this level of professionalism.
Many people wanted to see him stripped of any chance to play or just live his life again. No matter what happens after tonight, I am thrilled to see this young man do what he loves best.
