Biology
• You(person) exist. You are a physical being. You are classified as a warm-blooded animal, a mammal, and a primate. You are considered sentient and intelligent by scientists.
• If you are a Corporate Person, you might or might not exist. It is possible for a Corporate Person to be merely a bank account in the Bahamas, or perhaps a post office box. You have no biological structure.
(more after the fold)
Taxes
• You(person)must pay income and property taxes or be penalized by the IRS.
• If you are a Corporate Person, you can offshore yourself, and avoid paying most, if not all taxes. The government loves to give you tax-breaks, tax write-offs, and tax shelters.
Sociology
• Your(person) existence is a burden on the taxpayers. You require a great deal of tiresome financial upkeep. Social security, disability, unemployment benefits, municipal pension, public schools, and so on. If you work in the public sector, say as a teacher or an accountant, you are even more of a burden on the taxpayers. If you are poor, your offspring (persons) are also a burden on the taxpayers.
• As a Corporate Person, you are a blessing to society. Your existence is said to generate jobs. Municipalities will make attractive offers for you to come and live in them.
As a Corporate Person you support the community, are active in philanthropic ventures, and are considered a shining example of American ingenuity, hard work and prosperity. Impressive magazines may write articles about you.
Finance
• You (person) may, if you are in a Union, haggle with your employers for pay raises and benefits. If You are not in a union, you can take what you are paid, like it, and agree to be hired and fired "at will."
• If you are a Corporate Person, you can write your own no-bid government contracts, and be awarded a large amount of money from a grateful government.
Civic Life
• You (person) can cast a vote. Because you live in a free country, you can also write to your representatives in government, submit editorials to the local paper, and stand outside in unpleasant weather holding a sign with a slogan.
• If you are a Corporate Person, you cannot vote. On the other hand, you can have private meetings with lawmakers, as well as with the SEC, the Federal Reserve, and, in some cases, the National Security Agency. In these meetings you can request that laws be written and passed, according to your personal needs and interests. You can anonymously contribute unlimited amounts of money toward political action committees. Foreign policy may be based on your particular needs and wants, as you are considered part of America’s "interests."
Law
• You (person) may commit crimes, such as robbery, manslaughter, criminal negligence, drug dealing etc. These are called felonies. If you are caught you will be arrested, possibly convicted, and sentenced to prison. If your crime is drug dealing, the government can seize all of your assets and property. In prison expect to be humiliated, mal-nourished, mal-treated, and possibly beaten and/or raped.
• If you are a Corporate Person you may also commit crimes, such as torture and murder (KBR and Blackwater), torture-slavery-and-murder(De Beers), fraud(Goldman Sachs, Enron), criminal negligence (BP, Massey Energy), poisoning (Phillip Morris, Dow Chemical), and more fraud (Worldcom, Countrywide.) These are called "white collar crimes" or "civil suits." If you are caught, you may be called before a Senate committee, or subpoenaed to civil court. You may be tried, and if found guilty, will pay a fine. You may also choose to "settle" the lawsuit. That means you agree to pay the aggrieved parties to drop the suit. You may decide you don’t really want to pay the fine, however.(Exxon-Mobile, Dole, Union Carbide.) That is okay.
Economics
• If you (person) lose your income and face bankruptcy, you will be made to attend mandatory credit counseling. You will face personal disgrace, and might be evicted. You must fill out a great deal of paperwork on a regular basis in order to receive financial assistance from the government. People from the agencies where you receive assistance will treat you like a naughty child sent to the principal’s office. Lawmakers, candidates and TV show hosts call persons like you "lazy," and "irresponsible."
• If you are a Corporate Person and face bankruptcy, you can call long-time associates in the government and ask them to please give you a billion-dollar infusion of cash. Lawmakers, candidates and TV show hosts will, in this circumstance, call you things like "an economic reality" and "fiscal policy."
More Biology
• You (person) are alive. One day you will die, and cease to exist.
• If you are a Corporate Person, you are not alive. Therefore you cannot die. You could conceivably exist for centuries, and your existence becomes too tenuous, you can be absorbed by another Corporate Person.
