Senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus have introduced Sen. bill 3864, which would delete protections of wolves in Idaho and Montana, allowing Sarah Palin and her blood hungry wolf hunter pals to decimate those populations.
Description of S 3864 -
To remove a portion of the distinct population segment of the Rocky Mountain gray wolf from the list of threatened species or the list of endangered species published under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, and for other purposes.
Apparently the Senators didn't think wolves were already under attack sufficiently in Senate bills 3825 and 3919, as well as H.R. 6028, as noted by the Center for Biological Diversity.
Gray wolves have not faced such a sweeping, ruthless threat since the inception of a federal program to exterminate them in 1915, which eliminated all wolves from the western United States by the 1940s.
The various bills would remove Endangered Species Act protections from wolves in Montana and Idaho, portions of surrounding states, or the entire country, and would legislatively overturn the Center's latest successful lawsuit that restored Endangered Species Act protections to wolves throughout Montana, Idaho, and parts of Washington, Oregon and Utah. Each bill would permit a renewed extermination program against wolves, unfettered by federal law.
