Hai, Y'all!
I had a brainstorm when I was looking at this , a site created by our own jan4insight to display and sell her creative wares.
Thinking about her creativity made me think about some other Kossacks who make and sell all kinds of things online. Sara R has a quilt store, for example. DavidW is an amazing painter and artist.
And that's when it hit me.
I thought, wouldn't it be great if there were an actual collection of all these sites? I don't know about you, but if I need to buy a gift it would make me feel doubly good to know I was helping out a member of the community at the same time.
Today I'm looking for your sites if you'd like them posted in a future diary. If you know about another Kossack's site, track them down and ask them if they want to be listed in the First Annual Kos Katalogue, as the diary will be called. Tell them to hustle over to this diary and post a comment with their link and a brief description of what they're selling.
If there seems to be enough interest, I'll post this again during the week to catch people who have actual lives on the weekend. Then, later this week, I'll put all the links into one diary you can bookmark and use for your shopping.
The holidays are almost upon us, folks!
Once again here are teh rules:
Don't post someone else's site. It won't go into the Katalogue. There are people who prefer not to mix business with pleasure politics.
If YOU have a site you'd like to share, post a comment with the link and a brief description of what you sell.
Please don't tell me about "so and so" who has a "wonderful site" and ask me to track them down. I'm not soliciting business here! If you can find them and the diary has disappeared, they can do a tag search for "Kos Katalogue", or look for this diary again early in the week.
If a minimum of ten Kossacks don't sign up their sites, I'll shelve the idea for lack of interest.
UPDATE: One more rule: If you post your website, make sure I have your email address. Post it in your profile or send it to me.
PS - If you don't personally have an online shopping site but would be interested in patronizing other Kossacks, please say so in the comments.
