Dan Foster tweets:
Cornyn tells @NRO that "all incumbents" that voted against earmarks ban "need to be prepared for primaries."
John Cornyn is the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Can you even imagine his Democratic counterpart saying something like that? Any Democratic counterpart? And no, alternate universes don't count.
That little snippet is from Kevin Drum over at Mother Jones.
There is a scene from the greatest show ever, the Wire, in which a group of young drug dealers is beating up another drug dealer and the cops are watching and one cop says to the other, "See this is why we lose," and the other cop says "why," and the cop says back, "because they beat on their fuck ups and we give our fuck ups pensions"
We do reward our fuck ups in the Democratic party, hell, we reward ones that are disloyal punks too, just ask Joe Lieberman and the Republican party punishes their disloyal punks hard, just ask Lincoln Chaffee.
So we are dealing with the tax cut extension vs the unemployment extension and we are losing. Why? because we can't discipline a few mother fuckers in the senate. But you know, it's all in the game though, right?
