Now, who was that detective who said that? Maybe in an Elmore Leonard novel?
Always stuck with me.
'Tis indeed. I see we continue to implode here about Obama. Oh well.
Really. Maybe someone will try to primary him, maybe not. Maybe some horrible Republican will get elected to the Presidency in 2012 (yikes!)
No, that would not be good. But I'm not at all sure what we're spozed to do right now.
I just wish he'd stop giving away the store. The R's want something? Make 'em trade for it.
I really wish he'd waited until 2012 to run. Dude needed more practice.
I really do think he got in over his head.
Sad. For all of us.
Now we have to start thinking about this 2012 election. Well, how about that? Creeping right up, isn't it?
I think prolly best move is to work on Congress, and not on primarying Obama. I know, I know.
But, Congress keeps being a sticking point. Obama might have got more done with a happier Congress.
(title fuck-up, changed to the original quote. Oops.)
I don't think he's a bad guy. I think he did get in over his head with this one, though.
I know, I know.
But what do we accomplish by primarying Obama?
Has anyone even offered?
Not that I've noticed.
Okay, so he's a talented amateur...really bright one, who got out of his league too fast.
He's the fucking President. He has a lot of appeal.
Do we really want to toss that away?
Dangerous.
I know it's all crazy. I know about the Wikileaks stuff about Spain. I know about FISA.
I'm a political blogger. I do this a lot; I pay a lot of attention.
But I really think that we should try to keep him in office and work on Congress.
That's my fix on this. Feel free to argue against this position. I understand.
