I used to think Ron Paul was some kind of a nut when I first heard of him speak about the events of 9/11. I don't agree with his Libertarian views but over the past year the more I listening to him the more he's make sense on what the American people need to know about our Government and how it's behaving. For instants, he was one of 3 Republicans, Walter Jones Jr. (N.C.), and John Duncan (Tenn.), than join the rest of the House Democrats in voting for the Middle Class Tax Cut. Too bad that the rest of his GOPers and some Democrats bow down to these filthy backers from Wall Street and these bankers. Then today he made my day when came out and defended founder Julian Assange.

Some of use as Progressive are afraid to publicly defend Wikileaks and the intent of Julian Assange but lets also for once agree that the American people are desperate. We need to know the truth without being mix falsehood or hidden while our elected officials and journalist knows. We are suppose to have the right to know what is going on with our Government whether it's critical of ourselves and the future of our Government. Whatever Mr.Assange is hidden, I hope he leaks out especially about our Banking system and how our money is spend to feed the rich only to watch our nation going into debt. So even if I have a different opinion with Mr.Paul, for once I agree with his defense of Mr. Assange.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
