Right now-at this moment-pictures are worth a thousand words.
Here is a short scene from the Borg-StarTrek film.

This is how I feel.
And I am pissed.
If you watch the first 1:07 of footage, after the first 20 seconds or so of introes, it will hit you too. You will know in an instant what this country needs. It's not so much ideas that we now need. What we need starts with a B and ends in double S. I could write a piece ticking off my peeves about this administration just like all the other fabulous Kossians, but this scene immediately popped in my head that perfectly paints my displeasure. I have had it with Obama's utter lack of leadership and its a disgrace he has to resort to spitting on the very base that got him in his chair.
How many times on the campaign did he stump against the Bush tax cuts, considering it an anathema to the country? He railed against them up until last month. His track record of backroom deals with Big Pharma and the Insurance companies on the Health care bill had already laid down the groundwork and exposed Obama's thin skin. The left is still pissed that the public option was backroomed dealed away into oblivion despite Obama's yelping during the campaign for a public option. So much for the campaign promise of lowered costs thru a national public option. We hve been played. Quite the risk averse president we didn't vote for. That I am pissed off because of Obama's almost weekly capitulations to bend over to every greedy Republican wimb, would be worse than an understatement. That's right, Barack, you gave away even bigger tax cuts to the rich than Bush had and then call the left,"sanctimonious", because we are not kissing your ass like you have effortlessy done to and for your Wall St clowns. Add to the compendium- DADT, public option-medical bill, financial reform, suspention of habeus corpus in addition to maintaining many Bush-era terror tactics and you get a resume of milque toast compromises from a thoroughly risk averse president whose backpedalling has now become his national moniker.
