With a couple of cool videos.
I spent Christmas alone, as I have for these last four years. I made some frittata, I made some marinara sauce, and plan to make lasagne tomorrow.
I weeded out the little carrot patch. I spread some compost on some places I'll be planting soon, with spinach, beets, peas. Stuff like that.
I plan to take it slow this time, though. Dig out the Bermuda grass roots and dig in the compost, water it in for a few weeks, then dig it up again after all the grasses and mustards and henbit & stuff sprouts. Then plant in January.
Usually I don't start until February, but this La Nina year is so warm.
Anyway, it was a good day. The first Christmas I haven't been depressed since 2006 or so.
Also, received a few good video links in the mail from a friend. This one is fantastic: gay couple in New York receives mysterious letters to Santa. From the NYT. Just awesome.
Update: the NYT piece worked in preview, but not in publish. Here's the link.

And this one is fun. Techno-Nativity.
Hope y'all had a good day.
