YOU’RE WRONG! You are wrong. Wrong, I say, Sir. Rules are rules. Rules are to be followed. No. You can not and cannot disrespect the rules. Without rules chaos and anarchy and all of those will reign supreme. Do you want people to ignore the STOP sign or run through a red light? That is dangerous. That is unbecoming, un-American.

But, the Republicans change the rules in middle of the game all the time. They even go NUCLEAR if they don’t have it their way.

Well, we cannot be like them. They are tea drinkers, or something, and they hate babies.

But, the REPUBLICANS are about to change the rules again. Why the Ds cannot do the same?

Again, Republicans are a case study. We cannot lower ourselves to their level. You know?

But, they want to use RECONCILIATION to cut taxes and eliminate progressive programs.

Well, as I said, these are tea drinkers and they hate babies.

But, they want to kill the health care. Starve the beast, they said.

Yeah! But, have far do you think they can go. Even if the Senate agrees with them, the president will not allow that.

But, they are CHANGING the rules now in the House. Why the Ds cannot do the same in Senate?

Because, my dear, you are simply don’t understand the rules. The rules are made to stay. You cannot break the rules willy nilly. It will bite the Ds back whenever they try to change the rules. It's the Luntz's law.

But, I give up!

That is right, dear, Republicans has no shame. Democrats are spineless as liberals fondly like to say.

Have a nice New Year. Or perhaps, organize.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
