Yesterday Homeland Security, the FBI and the Joint Terrorist Task Force Conducted a Raid on a Sleeper Cell of Religiously Fanatical Militants who had plotted, trained and planned to attack the United States.
This raid should be considered a great victory in the War or Terror, but so far the Corporate Media has refrained from reporting it as such - possibly because the Religious Fanatics captured in this raid - Were all Christians from Michigan, not Muslims from Yemen.
As described by MSNBC:
DETROIT - Nine alleged members of a Christian militia group that was girding for battle with the Antichrist were charged Monday with plotting to kill a police officer and slaughter scores more by bombing the funeral — all in hopes of touching off an uprising against the U.S. government.
Seven men and one woman believed to be part of the Michigan-based Hutaree were arrested over the weekend in raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. The ninth suspect was arrested Monday night after the FBI played recorded messages from family and friends, who urged the man to give himself up, over loudspeakers outside a home in rural southern Michigan.
FBI agents moved quickly against the group because its members were planning an attack sometime in April, prosecutors said. Authorities seized guns in the raids but would not say whether they found any explosives.
The plan which prompted the arrests, as reports have it, were that this group was going to stage a military attack on police officers, then follow up with an ambush at the subsequent funeral(s) in order to maximize the casualty count.
If that's not TERRORISM - I don't know what is.
Here's the Report on it as Rachel presented it:
Let's put this in some perspective, this was not the act of One Lone "Nutjob" - as were the following attacks:
The 2008 shooting of five persons, two fatally, at a Unitarian Church for being "Too Liberal" as dictated by Fox News Contributors according to murderer James Addkinson in Knoxville Tennesse.
The 2009 shooting at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, by White Supremacist James Von Brunn.
The 2009 Murder of Dr. George Tiller by Religious Zealot Scott Roeder.
The 2010 Crashing of a Plane into the Austin IRS Offices as a protest/terror attack against Taxes by Joe Stack, which killed one and injured 13 people.
The 2010 Shooting at the Pentagon by John Patrick Bedell, which injured two officers.
Many of these types of events were previously documented and predicted by the Homeland Security Report:
Anti-immigration: "Rightwing extremist groups’ frustration over a perceived lack of government action on illegal immigration has the potential to incite individuals or small groups toward violence. If such violence were to occur, it likely would be isolated, small-scale, and directed at specific immigration-related targets."
Recruiting returning vets: "Rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat."
Gun-related violence: "Heightened interest in legislation for tighter firearms...may be invigorating rightwing extremist activity, specifically the white supremacist and militia movements."
Of course the Right-Wing took umbrage in this report claiming that it "tarred and feathered" rank and file conservatives as "Radicals". Via Michelle Malkin...
By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives. And the intent is clear. As the two spokespeople I talked with on the phone today made clear: They both pinpointed the recent "economic downturn" and the "general state of the economy" for stoking "rightwing extremism." One of the spokespeople said he was told that the report has been in the works for a year. My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report -- which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified "resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity" is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and...the historical presidential election.
Yeah, it's not like all the pressure people have been under in the economy, and the election of a Democratic - Almost Liberal - and BLACK - President just might push some people teetering on the edge of delusion right over the edge.
And it's seems so many of those deluded people - are Conservatives.

Let's look back at how Bill O'Reilly reacted to Democratic Presidential Hopefuls attending Netroots Nation after the posting of some photoshop cartoons insulting President Bush and Joe Leiberman:
http://images.dailykos.com/...
O'Reilly: This is what the Kos traffic's in. The fact that these democratic candidates would support a website with a picture like that - is hard to believe.
Agree with him or not, Senator Lieberman is a Patriot and a man of conviction. Right now he's opposing the loons in the Senate who don't want to protect American citizens who report possible terrorist activity from lawsuits. Lieberman deserves respect, not hatred.
But does he say this when it comes to the kind of open hatred shown by the "Tea Partiers" against the President, and call them "Haters" or accuse any elected Officials who attend their rallies as "joining the KKK" as O'Reilly did when describing Democrats? Does he send his Producer/Stalker Jesse Waters to get Freedom Works to explain why they support people with such angry language on their Posters - the way he had Jesse ambush executives at Jet Blue for sponsoring Netroots Nation? Hell - NO.
Waters to JetBlue CEO: Don't you think that your sponsorship of this event is a tacit endorsement of these extreme views?
Yeah, but if showing a rude picture of Joe Lieberman and having some loose comments by random visitors about Dick Cheney makes you a "Hate Group" what exactly do pictures like these make you?
Or comments such as these...
No rather than be even handed, the GOP/FOX News strategy has been to demonize the victims of violent rhetoric such as Rep John Lewis and Rep. Barney Frank and even accuse them of lying about it.
O’REILLY: But the press showed no restraint at all in covering that story and immediately took that and branded the tea parties a bunch of racists. Now, that’s the strategy. This is why it’s a big story. Why I’m leading with it tonight on the Factor. And I got Al Sharpton in the seat. Because I can’t get the others and that tells me something too. I can’t John Lewis and I can’t get Emanuel Cleaver. These are the guys who made the accusations. They won’t come on. That shows, that tells me something. But anyway, the strategy is on the left because the Tea Party movement is a danger to them to brand everybody in it as a racist.
INGRAHAM: Isn’t that a sure sign of a scoundrel’s refuge, though? I mean, you always go to the racist charge.
O’REILLY: Sure. Of course it’s scoundrels. Of course, the left-wing media, you don’t get more scoundrel than those people. And but that’s what they’re doing. You can see it. You can see it that any nut — and there are some nuts, Laura, in the Tea Party movement — any nut and anything will be used to brand the entire movement.
Dailykos is a like a KKK Rally, but it's WRONG to "brand the entire Tea Party Movement as Racists" because of just a few people. This ignores the fact that the issue isn't just what the few extremists do or say - it's what everyone else does in RESPONSE. On Kos those comments were thoroughly criticized and ultimately blocked from view - in the halls of Congress name-calling Democrats was cheered by Republican members of Congress and their staff. It's not that all the Tea Parties are "Racist", it's a bigger problem that they refuse to CONFRONT the Haters, Racists, Wackjobs and Crazies in their midst.
As a result - they Tacitly Endorse Extremist Behavior!
We all have to realize that talk is just talk most of the time. but sometimes - sometimes, that talk turns into ACTION. In the case of Dailykos all our loose talk turned into winning a bunch of elections, but in the case of Conservatives and Wingnuts - it's costing lives.
This isn't nearly a case of violent rhetoric coming from "Both Sides" - not hardly.
I've said it before I'll say it again...
It is a matter of Hate or Fact?
