Okay, Newt. I don't live in San Francisco, and never have lived closer than about 500 miles or so, but you'd probably call me a San Francisco liberal, and there's a couple of things that I've got to point out.
First, Sarah Palin doesn't tick me off. The only thing I love more than Sarah Palin are the Republicans who truly believe she can be the next President. Sure, she's an idiot, but she's a useful idiot, and along with other useful idiots (yes, I'm thinking of you, Newt) she's an electoral goldmine...for Democrats.
Second, I won't even bother to engage in the debate about whether or not Sarah Palin is a feminist. The key thing is that you are trying to claim the mantle of feminism, Newt. Think about that. You want one of your own to be thought of as a true feminist.
Newt, you've lost the culture war. The funny thing is you don't even know it. You think you're still fighting it.
Trust me, ten years from now, you're going to be claiming Sarah Palin is a true San Francisco liberal. You think I'm joking around, but just you wait. Mark my words, you'll be claiming the mantle of San Francisco liberalism. Think about what that means for conservatism.
