I think that communism, clear and direct, communism, may be the answer, or a big part of the answer to the question of what do we, ultimatley, need to do to make the world a better place.
Not capitalism with some socialism, like we have all over the world, or at least in the USA, and every place I know anything about. We mix our socialism with our capitalism, and we struggle, and we moan and complain when the capitalists steal from the workers, and steal some more, and keep stealing every penny they can. We just try to adjust the system a little.
Maybe we really need a very different system.
Maybe communism is the next step.
Link to the history of May Day.
What the heck is communism, anyway?
What is the goal of communism?
Well, what is the goal of our American system?
Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
...promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty...
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States;...
From the Communist Manifesto:
- Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
- A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
- Abolition of all right of inheritance.
That is the communist way to lay and collect taxes for the general welfare.
Here is a link to address just the pay difference between union and non-union wages.
I work at Walmart for a little over $9 per hour.
This chart shows union wages for similar work, cashier, are about $11 per hour.
That would be over $5,000 per year more in gross pay.
Multiply that by 2 million Walmart workers, and we have 10 billion dollars per year that is going somewhere else in Walmart, that needs to go into the pockets of the Walmart workers.
The communist system has a plan to make it happen.
Read the Communist Manifesto, slowly and carefully, if you have not done so recently. You may be surprised.
Peace.
