I'm not sure whether I should post this. I know people will say that wrestling is just entertainment, that what the WWE broadcasts should not necessarily reflect on what kind of Senator Linda McMahon would be. But, historians often say that the morals of a society can be partially judged by what they viewed as entertainment. With that in mind, I'd like to share with you a video that should be made known to anyone considering voting for Linda McMahon.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I am a fan of pro wrestling. I've watched it since I was very young, and I never grew out of it. But, there have been plenty of incidents throughout WWE history that have made me ashamed to be a wrestling fan, and at the top of the list is the Katie Vick incident. In 2002, a wrestler named HHH had a feud with a wrestler named Kane. The storyline was that Kane had caused the death of his girlfriend, Katie Vick, when he was a teenager. HHH taunted Kane and made fun of him, using this incident as a way to unnerve Kane. At some point, Linda's husband, Vince McMahon, decided shooting this video was a good idea. I warn you, this video is offensive, maybe worse:
This was shot in an actual funeral home, while a funeral was going on in the next room. This is widely seen as the worst "bit" in pro wrestling history-fans still talk about it with disgust. One footnote-the guy in the mask is now Linda's son-in-law.
