I don't think I've ever heard of anyone posting a Liveblog in which they did not personally plan to participate, but I am doing that here today.
I've been your congenial host these past months of our following LOST's final season here on Daily Kos; you can see the last pre-finale entry of the diary series here, with links to many diaries before then. It has been a fun trip with a fun group of regulars; I won't name them because I don't know where to draw the line between people who have commented scores of times to less frequent writers.
The finale of LOST calls for a liveblog, but for those of us living west of Eastern/Central time, participating in a liveblog means that we'd spoil our surprises. I'm unplugging from any media capable of spoiling the finale from me after I post this. I hope those people who will be watching the episode in a few minutes enjoy it.
Now to discuss the Rules:
Gather round the campfire to here the Rules:
- I am assuming that there will not be so many comments as to require a "mothership" + "child diaries" arrangement. If I'm wrong and this thing fills up fast, one of you will have to take charge and make arrangements.
- Anyone who posts spoilers from outside of what is generally available material in this diary should expect to be hide-rated into oblivion. I will agitate for a banning. Do not spoil other people's fun.
- Note that, in accord with the vote we had, I will not be posting a liveblog for the West Coast (and I am never clear on what happens with Mountain Time) showing of the finale because of the high probability that some miscreant with a disposable account will swoop in and spoil it. We will have our "decompression" community diary afterwards, in a diary that I will post at 11:30 p.m. Pacific Time. If anyone wants to set up a Mountain Time and/or Pacific Time liveblog, please feel free, but I suggest that if you do so you should warn people that the likelihood of being "spoiled" is high.
- If anyone wants to port material here from this diary into the one I'll start in 5.5 hours, feel free!
- I have made it so that you cannot harm each other. Yeah, right.
I look forward to seeing what if anything people had to say here -- once it's safe for me to check!
Have fun!
