First the goodness.
Just got a poll from NBC.
I get them from time to time ... complained to them about their portrayal of violence in ERs back in the day when medical students still stomached watching that show.
The latest poll was the second I got on Dennis Miller vs. other talking heads.
In short, I told them the only way I would watch the Dennis Miller show is if he did point-counterpoint with Jon Stewart ... a little sadistic on my part, to ask for such a daily bleeding of a loudmouth conservative, but I figure Jon would enjoy the extra work.
Now the memo!
Dear Ptolemy,
This has been a fantastic week for the Republican Party.
(it has?)
I am still energized from the results of our voter
registration efforts at the Daytona 500.
(Shite. Terry? Where the hell were we?)
Our positive
agenda clearly resonates with NASCAR fans, and it was a
real treat to have drivers like Rusty Wallace and Bill
Elliott lending a hand.
(Is this legal? Why aren't we at sporting events? Like Yankee games? They gave enough to Kerry already.)
While RNC volunteers flooded the Daytona International
Speedway to register new voters, race fans marveled at
our huge "Race to Victory" motor coach, with everyone
eager to sign the "I support President Bush's Positive
Agenda for America" Team Leader banner.
(Did this happen? Or is this spin?)
We are well on our way to reaching our goal of registering
three million new Republicans by Election Day 2004.
(We really have to get moving. Get voter reg cards and hang out in the park)
The other great news of the week is that we now have
over 401,200 Team Leaders! The continued growth of our Party
is amazing and these grassroots efforts make all the
difference.
(I hope to God Almighty, praised be his Progressive Agenda and Grassroots-Inspiring Name, that some of these 400K are you people signing up for memos.)
Stay tuned for a special National Voter Registration Week
announcement coming next week.
(Okay. Get voter Reg cards NOW. I will get back on the horn tomorrow with local Democratic Club addresses. Go there and get Voter Reg cards. Then go to the park - use DFA, Kos, or candidate sites to organize with friends - and register everyone and anyone.)
Sincerely,
Enron Dizzy Gillespie
Chairman, Dominion Headquarters
(who knew? I thought they were the Shadows. Turned out they were Fundamentalist Shape-shifters from Star Trek)

(Someone get Terry to give me a Purple Heart or something, because they will injure me when they find out what I'm doing with these.)
Make Sure Every Republican Is Registered To Vote!
The 2004 election is coming up and every vote is critical
to elect Republicans from the courthouse to the White House.
Please make sure you and everyone you know is registered to vote.
(Maybe DFA should get these memos. Whaddya think?)

Also use Red Republicans a lot when explaining the Chinese stake in our debt and how Bush is enabling it. Red States, Communist Republicans, State Corporatists.
