While driving to work this morning, I was listening to the Jeff Santos Show on Revolution Boston Radio. The guest was from Ur Union of Unemployed, or U-Cubed. They were talking about how to get the message out about just whom it was that voted against the unemployed workers. This is a hot issue, in that generally, the party in power is the one most affected by angry voters.
Their idea: create a video, and hope it goes viral. See the video below the fold.
I figured, if there's any way to help a video go viral, start it here.
What I found the most appalling was the thought that unemployed people should be required to take drug tests to make sure they're not spending their money on drugs. Talk about pandering! This is as bad as the "paying people to not work" argument.
So, if you're unemployed, or you know someone who is, watch the video, then let your friends know about it, even the ones who are working. Because in November, if we're going to throw the bums out, let's make sure everyone knows which people are the real bums.
ADDED: WarOnError points out that we should also be joining the 10.2.10 March On Washington, in his diary. Please read and recommend that diary, if the time to do so hasn't passed.
