According to SurveyUSA, Democrats are doing much better than their previous polls show.
CA-GOV: August 31-Sept 1 in parentheses
Jerry Brown (D): 46% (40%)
Meg Whitman (R): 43% (47%)
CA-SEN: August 31-Sept 1 in parentheses
Barbara Boxer (D): 49% (46%)
Carly Fiorina (R): 43% (48%)
Even SurveyUSA is showing a lead for Democrats, as it hasn't always been like that for them. What does that mean?
Well first, here's Jerry Brown's new ad against eMeg:
Ouch. I would somewhat feel bad for her if she wasn't busy pandering to Latino voters on her immigration stance. But Jerry Brown has it, no matter what you think of him (I have my reservations about him), he's got the ball rolling now and it couldn't be a more perfect time to do so. He goes after Whitman's costly tax cuts for the wealthy while stealing from our schools, its a near-perfect ad in my opinion.
Next, we have another hard-hitting ad from Boxer:
This year cannot be any more important for California Democrats: Redistricting, the fight over Prop 8 and the corporate hacks who want to buy our state. Also on the ballot is Prop 19, which would legalize cannabis. SurveyUSA also shows it leading 47-42, which is been in steady support for quite some time now.
We also need to send a clear message by showing to the rest of the country that elections are won with the votes of the people, not with corporate dollars.
UPDATE: Speaking of corporate dollars, how about the fact that the dirty energy Prop 23, which is funded by greedy out of state Texas Oil companies and the ultra-libertarian Koch brothers needs to be stopped. Donate to stop their greedy takeover here
UPDATE x2:: Another ad from Equality California, hitting Whitman and Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley (who's running for AG) for supporting the lawsuit against Judge Vaughn Walker's decision regarding Prop 8. Watch here for Whitman and here for Cooley.
