Sarah's daughter, Bristol, is a national spokesperson for abstinence. Now her husband has a chance to be the national spokesperson for marital fidelity.
Update: Why you should care.
According to the latest news, Todd Palin has been having an extramarital relationship with a masseuse who has been busted for prostitution.
I don't have to tell you all what this means for Sarah Palin's political career. Perhaps this will be the end of it. Perhaps she'll be the new Nixon. I'm willing to bet that her first response will be denial. We'll see.
I'll update as new information is available.
From Assoc. Content:
The massage therapist Palin is rumored to have had affair with is Shailey Tripp. Tripp was arrested in March 2010 with running a house of prostitution. It is within that investigation that law enforcement officials confiscated physical items, which directly tie Sarah Palin's husband to Tripp. Tenants of the building where Tripp had her office reported seeing Todd Palin often.

Update: According to the New York Daily News, this is the third allegation of marital infidelity. That being the case, this will probably come to nothing unless Todd Palin faces criminal charges because of the police investigation. I'm Looking for sources on those other two stories now. Post them in the comments if you've got them.
Updated Commentary
One of the points being made in the comments, and made well, is that this is a private matter. I'll quote a few, they make good points.
Don't care
Really not my business who or what Todd Palin mates with. I'm more nervous about the policies his wife proposes than how he conducts his private life.

I was an Edwards supporter
And I am ashamed that he ran. After Clinton got impeached, and the Dems having a good shot in 2008, if Edwards got the nomination and it came out AFTER that, we would be cursing president McCain. I do think affairs are a private matter, but plenty of possible Dem voters don't. On the other hand, McCain would likely have not picked Palin as a running mate.

Whenever an affair occurs, there are a lot of people who stand by the position that family matters are private matters. And I think in most cases, the people making these claims are correct.
But when the politician or leader in question claims to be a champion for fidelity, for traditional [i.e. modern Christian] marriage, for moral leadership, then their family life does begin to matter.
Were any average citizen to become involved in drugs and extramarital activity with a gay prostitute, then it is a private matter. Even if that private citizen is someone of importance to the community, such as a CEO, the head of a well known charity, or a school board superintendent. But when that person is Ted Haggard then it is not a private family matter. If you are someone who campaigns vocally and publicly that any sexual relationship or identity outside of standard heterosexual marriage is a sin, your actions matter.
If you are one of the Palins, and your family through reality TV and other media outlets campaigns vocally for the same things, then your behavior matters. Your behavior is no longer a private matter.
When you campaign regularly for bigotry and pretend moral superiority because of the sacred perfection that is your marriage, your extramarital dalliances, and those of your spouse, matter.
