Okay, first of all let me state for the record that the video down below is REALLY silly. Not a serious moment in it, so don't go looking for one. Its just my comedic homage to what may prove to be one of the most interesting State of the Union addresses in any of our lifetimes.
And all because a nutjob in Tucson took it into his head to shoot a United States Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords. How weird is that?

Because without the shooting in Arizona, the partisan vitriol would been flowing at full force in these days leading up to the State of the Union. But instead, a moment (perhaps brief) has arisen where Democrats and Republicans are actually making an effort to treat one another with a bit more civility.
They are actually going to "mix it up" when they take their seats in the House Chamber for President Obama's address. Rather than sit in two great partisan blocks, many of the Representatives and Senators will instead take a seat next to a member of the other party -- and wouldn't we all like to know how they all have gone about getting their "dates" for Tuesday night? [See the Silly Video above.]
But what will make the evening especially interesting is in how the members will react to the President's words when they aren't sitting behind the barricades of their Party? Will the members be giving one another secret hand gestures, signaling when to applaud and when not? They have to know that the members of the Press will be watching each and every one of them like a hawk, trying to spot a moment of confusion or even Independence from members of Congress lacking their normal support system and "strength in numbers." Sure they will have all seen the speech ahead of time, but for members as downright stupid as Michelle Bachman, I find it difficult to believe that they'll be able to stick with the script -- unless they're actually reading along, with a hard copy in hand, as President Obama speaks.
It should be a fun night for all -- unless, of course, Joe Wilson decides to open his big mouth again. I'd bet money he goes stag tonight.
