MSNBC has reported that tear gas canisters fired at Egyptian protesters literally say "Made in the USA." (Story here.)
The tear gas canisters are manufactured by Combined Tactical Systems, a company in Jamestown, Pennsylvania. According to one journalist, they are the same canisters that Israeli soldiers fire at Palestinians in the West Bank.
This is just one example of how US foreign policy often can be on the wrong side of freedom. Every year, US taxpayers are forced to pay $10 each in military aid to Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak.
That’s $1.3 billion a year. It adds up to 25% of the dictator’s military budget.
Here's a link to help end this dictator tax: http://bit.ly/...
Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak has used torture, censorship, and corruption to maintain his power. Egyptian society is now pushing for an end to Mubarak's regime.
If we as Americans truly stand for freedom, it is time we get on the right side of Egypt's struggle.
Average US taxpayers shouldn’t have to fund Egyptian dictatorship.
