Well, it's time for the very last diary, prompted in part by premature nostalgia, and whipped up to a froth by the starkness of my "page" on DK4, which lays bare the fact that I have written only two little diaries in the entire time I've been a member here on DK3. So, to remedy that, I'm writing this completely unmemorable little diary, to plump up my page and to make me look smart, clever, or something.
Not having written a diary in many years, I forget how the whole thing goes. But I plan to remedy that soon. For example, it's not quite clear whether I have a sufficiently plumped out intro. How does it look? I haven't looked at it in preview yet. All I know is that I woke up this morning with the thought that if I lept out of bed right then instead of rolling over for a bit more sleep, I would be able to actively engage in this historical DK4 move.
Now, for discussion purposes, I would like to know how the rest of you all came to be here so early this morning. What are our stories? What process did you follow? Did you stop for coffee and breakfast before flipping on the puter? Did you bring your sleeping bag and camp out, anticipating the move the way a child anticipates a visit from Santa Claus? Or, the way people line up and sleep on the sidewalk in anticipation of the release of some new electronic toy or some designer sports shoe, or something like that?
I can't quite articulate my process. Resistance melted into curiousity, which slid into a challenge and a dare. I actually dared myself to figure out to the fullest extent possible the shape and the road forward and how the lanes are banked, hoping for a friendly environment.
Well, I'll be signing off for now. My last diary on DK3. Isn't everyone doing one?
