I would have called this My So Called Life but somebody with better writers beat me to it. So I figure I should name the musings of an aging white guy after the effect I most expect them to cause.
Apparently I've been hanging around this place for almost 6 years and haven't posted a diary, maybe I ought to contribute something. So this is my effort, hope it helps.
If you haven't nodded off yet, let's make the jump.
Since this is a political site, I guess I ought to include a little politics. Like sex and religion, you inherit your politics from your parents… Mine were Roosevelt Democrats, they even joked that their fathers had met while leaning on shovels in the WPA. Dad served in the Army Air Corps during the war and made full use of the GI Bill that the Democrats had put into place. He hasn’t forgotten that to this day. As a 19 year old, I worked for and cast my first vote for George McGovern. My son is an ardent Democrat as well.
To prove I'm not just another dog on the internet, I'll provide a few details. I've lived in 10 states, from coast to coast and managed to visit 46 states, and 4 foreign countries. I've been married for over 30 years and have 2 kids and 2 grandchildren. I'm a graduate of an enormous state university tightly wedded to an NFL farm team. I did manage to graduate with an engineering degree and eventually managed to earn an MBA.
What's on your mind?
