Several writers (and by extension their editors) at Madison's only daily newspaper -- the Wisconsin State Journal -- have been guilty of gross malfeasance in their reportage and/or commentary on what's been happening here. Though some of the paper's coverage has been okay, lots has been stunningly dishonest right-wing propaganda.
Perhaps we should encourage the guilty parties to mend their ways.
Madison journalist Bill Lueders has the story; it's pretty bad: http://www.thedailypage.com/...
If you haven't already done so, please have a look at the Lueders piece, then let the appropriate folks at the Wisconsin State Journal know what you think of their work -- and why, specifically.
Maybe it would also be a good idea to inform other folks in other venues about some of the crap that the Journal's been running here.
At a time such as this, our republic can ill-afford to have Madison's only daily paper behaving -- at least some of the time -- like little more than a right-wing tool.
Please don't let it go unchallenged!
Call 'em out! -- But PLEASE keep things polite, factual and rational ... Please?
