Marching around the Capitol, the spirits of all are friendly. It is easy to strike up a conversation. It is also easy to say, “Thank you.” Who are we most saying that to? I would put the police officers at the top of the list. They stand by, keeping their political viewpoint neutral while in uniform, but with smiles on their faces. They make it plain that they appreciate our peacefulness, and our efforts to clean up after ourselves. We all know their unions are not included in Scott Walker’s bill, so they are safe from this union-busting attack. However, what Walker does not seem to realize is that union red blood is thicker than Republican blue blood water.

According to the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association’s Tracy Fuller (who is their Executive Board President), “I SPECIFICALLY REGRET THE ENDORSEMENT OF THE WISCONSIN TROOPER’S ASSOCIATION  FOR GOVERNOR SCOTT WALKER.” Do you hear that, Guv’ner? The WI Troopers who voted for you, endorsed you, told their families and friends to vote for you…they regret it now. You can read much more about their “regret” and how they are now on the side of the protesters on their website.

I hope that while Walker can’t be recalled until January, the Republican WI State Senators are taking note of all who are turning against those who are standing with him on this….

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
