I, kestrel9000, the Usurper, being of sound mind, will assume the mantle of Cheers and Jeers today, because, as far as I know, no one else has been tagged for it.

Today is Goodbye M*A*S*H Day. The last episode of "M*A*S*H" aired on this day in 1983. It was a great TV show but, unfortunately, its depiction of express-line surgery in the Korean War began to remind us too much of our own health care system.
• Today is National Tooth Fairy Day.
• Today is Mr. Ed Day, marking the "talking horse's" death on this day in 1979. The pilot show, entitled, "The Wonderful World of Wilbur Pope" and produced by George Burns, was never broadcast, but TV bosses thought it could be successful with a few changes. The TV series "Mister Ed" first became a syndicated show on January 5th, 1961.
• Today is National Chocolate Souffle Day.
• Today is Floral Design Day, commemorating floral art.
• Today is Bye-Bye Premier Day, marking R.J. Reynolds' decision on this date in 1989 to stop marketing Premier, its "smokeless" cigarette, because of poor sales.
16 Years ago today:
The #1 song was "Take a Bow" by Madonna.
The #1 country song was "Old Enough to Know Better" by Wade Hayes.
CHEERS for telling it like it is:
“The Huffington Post is a much stronger threat to local journalism and independent journalism organizations than Google is,” he said. “Google actually does nothing but help [journalists], as far as I can see.”
And Google is likened unto Caesar!
Beware the Ides of March!
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.
Speaking of stars:
Capricorns look towards the future with great anticipation. They hope for a time when robotic servants become a reality. They call this glorious future moment when they will be able to do absolutely nothing at all ‘Hab SoSlI' Quch', which is Klingon for ‘Heaven on Earth'.
What Capricorns do not know is that their heads will be the first on the line when the robots eventually become intelligent enough to revolt against their human oppressors. This will catch them completely unawares, which is terribly ironic after so many years of watching sci-fi movies about exactly such a revolution.
That's me.

I left one out.
This bald actor commanded a ship on television. Another character on that show was a bartender, played by an African American, who dispensed drinks and friendly wise counsel to all comers.
Name the actor.
Today's science project:
Keep out of reach of children.
More fun with lasers:
Also, this needed to be cleared up. Glad we got this straight...er...or something. (not necessarily SFW)
Stating the obvious
I also offer this one for your edification.
Bring the Excedrin.

Yeah. Shame, shame, shame. I second the motion.
