This diary is unlike many of my diaries, as it relies on other people's research for many of the facts. Still, I wanted to bring attention to the fact that Scott Walker never graduated from college, and in fact, he was thrown out of college here in Wisconsin. This may explain a great deal.
It has been very clear in the last two weeks that Scott Walker, Wisconsin's Republican Governor, very anti-union labor. After attempting to ram through a bill stripping collective bargaining rights from the Public Employees Union, he was stopped by the Democratic Senators who left the state to prevent a quorum vote. Since Walker got the union's agreement to the new wage restrictions that he had asked for, one has to ask:
Why is Governor Walker so stuck on his proposal? The Kosmix Staff reported this story during the Gubernatorial Primaries, but it didn't get much play. I for one believe that is a very strong reason for the Governor to hate teachers, colleges, and papers. One way to get back at that crowd is what? Oh yeah, break up their union and take their privileges and money away.
Scott Walker Practiced Illegal Campaigning In College Feb 25, 2011
It was uncovered Friday that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was found to be guilty of illegal campaigning while in college. The Marquette Tribune reported last fall;
"Walker attended Marquette from 1986 t0 1990, but never attained a degree. His sophomore year, Walker ran for president of the Associated Students of Marquette University (ASMU, the former title for Marquette Student Government). He was accused of violating campaign guidelines on multiple occasions.
Walker initially denied this but later admitted to the violation, which resulted in lost campaign privileges at the YMCA.
In the run-up to Election Day, the Tribune’s editorial board endorsed Walker’s opponent John Quigley, but said either candidate had the potential to serve effectively. However, the Tribune revised its editorial the following day, calling Walker “unfit for presidency.”
Walker was found to be guilty of violating a policy which strictly prohibits door-to-door campaigning.
As stated, Walker did not graduate college, which is just one of the many reasons the Governor is raising concerns. It is said that he maintained a 2.59 grade point average and continually earned a C average. Walker left college in his Senior year, but many of his supporters think the fact that he never obtained a college degree is meaningless.
