Today's massacres in Libya are only a taste of what is to come unless the international community acts and acts in the next two to three days. An invasion by pro-Gaddafi forces of the western section of the country, promised by his sons will result in a slaughter and the arrival of over a million refugees across the Egyptian border. If the international community thinks that by waiting things will resolve themselves they are in for a tremendous surprise. While we hear that talks are underway to produce a no-fly zone, the reality on the ground is adding up to be one of the greatest human rights crises of the post-war period and may result in a human disaster like that in Rwanda or the former Yugoslavia.
